a guide for service providers

01

The Challenge

Migrant workers face isolation far from home, made worse by the pandemic, long hours and language barriers. AMSSA needed a guide for service providers on how loneliness affects workers and what support they can offer. The topic was sensitive and the script was long, so the visuals had to carry real emotion without feeling heavy.

02

Our Solution

We used a hand-drawn, illustrated style with recurring characters. John and the other workers move from isolation to connection over the course of the video. Collages show the many sources of stress at once. Later scenes show practical steps, like joining community groups, video calls home, healthy routines and conversation circles. The video points service providers to the Migrant Worker Hub for resources.
