The Challenge
Most patients do not know their insurer may stop accepting financial assistance for prescriptions. Many find out mid-year, when they suddenly owe thousands for refills. Disability Rights Oregon needed a short video that made this policy issue personal and asked Oregonians to help change it.

Our Solution
We followed one man and his dog through a year of refills. In winter his assistance covers his costs and life is good. By June the bills pile up and a chart shows what the insurer is keeping. A family upstairs shows the same problem with insulin. A narrator then steps forward to make the ask and points viewers to learn more.
